Lids are already cracked open for you, yellow and grey hard cases on the wooden floor with the foam peeled back around the kit. Fat lenses sit capped and glossy in their cutouts, batteries lined up in a neat little row, a gimbal snug in the yellow nest and a long black handle lying against the padded lid. Nobody steps in. It is just the gear, spread, still, and showing off. The shot crawls over every pocket, lingering on the thick glass with the red ring, the round Sony cap, the battery bricks, the cables, the empty holes waiting to be filled. Slow and close, a little dirty about how tight the foam grips each piece. Calm indoor light, lids wide, everything fully out: a behind-the-scenes strip of camera kit and nothing else.
